SecretBuilders, a kids- and children-focused virtual world that emphasizes creativity and historical adventure yesterday said it had struck a deal with San Francisco Opera to bring the music and culture of Mozart to online users. Kicking off the alliance this past weekend, SecretBuilders subscribers have been able to meet and chat with a virtual Amadeus Mozart inside the world's Mellow Drama virtual amphitheater. Additionally, there are contests as well as design competitions which emphasize Mozart's operatic music.
Bob Brattesani, VP of Creative Design at SecretBuilders, says, "our contests [already] draw tens of thousands of young writers and artists every month. Thanks to our partnership with San Francisco Opera, Mozart's "The Magic Flute" will now be heard by kids across 50 states, hundreds of schools, and 110 countries. Contest winners will receive a variety of prizes -- including tickets to an opera. Among SecretBuilders partners who are contributing to the pact are KidZui, Art in Action, and Stone Soup Magazine.
