Funtactix Launches Moondo for Casual Gaming Community
In July Israel-based Funtactix launched Moondo into a public beta. It's now gone officially live. Moondo lets users play in various 3D games, ranging from racing to shooters, with an identity and inventory system that crosses across all of them. It's not quite a virtual world, but it does create the potential for a strong avatar-based community. As part of the launch, Moondo is holding a 10-day celebration with tournaments and new virtual goods.
“Many mainstream gamers do not have the time to invest in MMO games or the budget for a high-end console,” Funtactix CEO Sam Glassenberg said in a statement. “The beauty of Moondo is that anyone can jump into one of its free online games and experience 3D visually intense, action-packed game sessions unlike any other casual game on the web. We welcome any gamer who feels they have skills to check out this exciting new universe of games.”
