Notes from Virtual Goods Summit: Yoville Statshot
The Virtual Goods Summit panel on Virtual Goods and Social Networks was, as expected, mostly about social networks, but Zynga's focus during the discussion was on its social network-based virtual world,Yoville, which i acquired this summer. Facebook puts Yoville, as of this afternoon, at 2,153,041 monthly active users, but Andrew Trader, EVP Business Development, Zynga, expanded.
"From a demographic standpoint, it mirrors Facebook," he said. "We do in the neighborhood of $4,000-$5,000 a day in revenues across CPMs and micropayments. It's about 50/50 male/female and 2/3 international. We're just on the cusp of a mass market opportunity."
