DX Exchange Goes Beta with Community Platform
DX Exchange announced today that it had entered into beta for its community-based exchange platform. DX Exchange began as Dutch Exchange, offering currency exchanges for Linden Dollars in Second Life. It currently serves about 13,000 customers with an active community in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany, but is expanding to offer more of a community service. DX Exchange is already partners with Virtual Worlds News to distribute our content, but plans to add more blogs as well as integrate and expand the currency exchange and market place. The full site will launch later this month, shortly before Virtual Worlds London.
“Of course the idea of creating and delivering a one-stop-shop environment is not new. But our intention to keep our exchanges as local as possible really is," Steven Kuik, COO of DX Exchange, said in a statement. "We are confident this strategy will be successful: it turns out that virtual communities act much more locally than expected a few years ago."
