Twinity Enters Public Beta
Metaversum announced this weekend that its mirror world, Twinity, had entered into public beta. The first locale to be included is Berlin, which saw its first outdoor areas opened up this summer, and its mayor was on hand to receive the virtual keys to the city. Singapore, London, and other cities are set for the future. During the beta, users can visit the outdoor areas and shops that have already set up, like galleries and movie theatres, as well as customize their own apartments.
“Our vision is clear,” Metaversum CEO Jochen Hummel said in a statement. “This is a trusted environment within a virtual world, lifelike, and based on real metropolises. People can live, work, and have fun here. They can also beam themselves straight into the world’s most attractive cities with a single click. With the launch of our public beta phase, we have laid the foundation for Twinity’s international rollout.”

Twinity is a definite must have virtual world browser.
See real places, and real cities.
