SceneCaster Announces Support for COLLADA

SceneCaster announced yesterday that it would support COLLADA 1.5.0. SceneCaster allows users to fill 3D scenes with existing content from custom designs for brands to independent developers from TurboSquid or Google Warehouse. The company says its support for COLLADA shows its dedication to encouraging 3D content exchange with many other programs.

"Our driving philosophy has always been to support and promote open standards and interoperability exchange," CTO Alain Chesnais said in a statement. "As more and more applications support COLLADA, it will enable 3D content, such as that created by SceneCaster users, to be repurposed by industries in need of a new source for content. SceneCaster is pleased to further 3D content exchange and accessibility with its support of COLLADA."
