AEG Live comes Meez Nation
Concert promoter and tour company AEG Live announced today that it was building a mansion in Meez Nation, the recently launched Meez virtual world. The mansion will feature hangouts for AEG Live artists Panic At The Disco, Dashboard Confessional, Plain White T’s and The Cab, with more to come. Users will be able to get branded virtual clothing, listen to music from new albums, buy tickets, and take the stage with guitars, drums and microphones. Meez has had success with brands in its non-virtual world spaces, but just a week after launch, CEO Sean Ryan noted that the world had driven engagement up 50%, with users now averaging 52 minutes per visit.
“Touring is about connecting with fans through music and creating a shared experience. With Meez we are able to bring that online,” Glenn Michael Miller, Director of Interactive Marketing at AEG Live, said in a statement. “We have created the AEG Live Mansion as a place for fans to become more involved with our artists, share their excitement for the tour and buy a ticket to come out and see them live. This is where music is headed and we are glad to be a part of it.”
