Worlds.com and Paid Collaborate on Darryl “DMC” McDaniels World
Worlds.com and Paid, which announced a partnership earlier this month, are beginning their collaboration on an integrated world and fansite for Darryl “DMC” McDaniels of Run-DMC fame. Run-DMC was a previous client of Paid, and McDaniels joined Worlds last month. In addition to creating virtual merchandise and adding its e-commerce technology, Paid will "seamlessly link" its site Me-DMC.com to the upcoming 3D virtual world.
"As DMC is both a hip hop pioneer and progenitor of the joining of the rap and rock , we anticipate that many rap and rock artists’ alike will follow DMC’s lead and develop their own Worlds to provide a channel for their fans to have a 24/7 3-D-culture experience," Keith Garde, president of Paid, Inc. celebrity services and president of PKA Management, a Paid, Inc. subsidiary that manages DMC, said in a statement. "We believe the fans who will be attracted to DMC World will come from among a variety of genres, interacting in an immersive and unbelievably detailed, exciting 3-D virtual community."
