An Explanation: These Event Postings on VWNews

I wanted to take a moment and explain something to www.VirtualWorldsNews.com passers by: why it is you are seeing these (sometimes frequent) blog posts about upcoming events. As regular readers to VWNews have likely figured out by now we're hosting two Virtual Worlds events in the next 60 days Virtual Worlds Expo (Sept. 3-4, 2008 in LA) and Virtual Worlds London (October 20-21, 2008 in London).  And since these are our events VWNews is doing double duty - or triple duty: 1) delivering you the highest quality news and interviews as per usual; 2) serving as official blog for VW Expo and 3) serving as official blog for VW London.  When we post an item to the official blog of either event, these items are also posted to the front page of VWNews and in the RSS feed. It helps us communicate with potential attendees as well as confirmed attendees.  If you are not interested in either event (which would be a shame, really, because we think we've put together first class offerings in both locations) we hope you'll simply overlook these event-specific posts when they occur.
