Bitfilm, a digital film community, has a new "virtual capital" in the mirror world Twinity. Bitropolis features
a cinema, gallery, bar, night club, and studios where filmmakers can show off their work for mini-screenings. Through a partnership with developer Metaversum, though, will bring the organized Bitfilm Festival in world as well.
"Bitropolis is a wonderful example of the vision that we are pursuing with the virtual world Twinity," Dr. Mirko Caspar, CMO of Metaversum, said in a statement. "Real events, such as the Bitfilm Festival in Stuttgart and Hamburg, are given a whole new dimension when they are transferred into a virtual world. We thus enable users from all around the world to take part in the festival and experience the best featured films."
