WSJ: Virtual Worlds as Summer Jobs
The Wall Street Journal has a nice, light piece today on young people finding summer work in virtual worlds (though when one is actually 25-year-old Josh Eikenberry, aka Second Life's Lordfly Digeridoo, with a projected summer income of $2k-$4k, I'm not sure if I should feel young or old or just in the wrong part of this industry). From "hunters" in Entropia to designers in Second Life, the WSJ highlights 7 young virtual world entrepreneurs. It's a fairly fluffy piece, but with the recent hubbub over the dangers of virtual worlds for youth, it's nice to see a positive take. [via WSJ]
