Sun Microsystems to Support TAATU

Belgian-based virtual world TAATU has been eyeing an expansion since we spoke to  CEO Philippe Moitroux in December.  As it scales up, the company will now have support from Sun Microsystems, which will provide infrastructure and support for the virtual world. The Belgian wing of Sun is interested in supporting local startups, but it will also be asking partners to test products in development. With multiple virtual worlds projects in the works for Sun (e.g., Project Wonderland, Darkstar, and MPK20), it'll be interesting to see if any bubble up through the partnership with TAATU.
