"Molotov" Debuts Next Month Online, In-World, and on Cable

"Molotov Alva and His Search for the Creator: A Second Life Odyssey," the machinima created by Douglas Gayeton will be debuting next month on Cinemax on May 15 as well as on Cinemax.com and on Cinemax's island in Second Life. Gayeton, former Chief Creative Officer for Millions of Us, saw HBO pick up the rights for his documentary last fall for a six-figure sum and later promote it for as an Oscar contender. I've only seen part of the documentary, but it's well worth a look. Now I'll be most interested to see how mainstream audiences pick it up or even where they pick it up--in Second Life, on the Web, or on TV. [via Hollywood Reporter]
