BarbieGirls Hits 10 Million Users
BarbieGirls, the virtual world designed by Mattel after that company's Barbie-brand, has hit 10 million registered users, reports the Washington Times. In April 2007, Mattel launched the Barbie Girls platform, a hybrid online-offline play experience that blends a fashion-forward, doll-inspired music player with the first virtual world designed exclusively for girls. Mattel executives Charles Scothon, General Manager & SVP, Girls Mattel Brands, Mattel, Inc., and Rosie O’Neill, Senior Brand Manager, Barbie Tech, Mattel, Inc. will keynote the upcoming Virtual Worlds 2008 conference taking place April 3-4, 2008 in New York, telling the audience what's next for Mattel and the Barbie brand.
I am one of the 10 million users to barbiegirls and I love it! You can shop,watch cinema,have friends,design your room and even buy your own pet!

I am not a fan of barbie girls anymore because the site is devoted to having to play with a pink, hyper-sterotyped world for money. I think it is wrong to have to pay for almost every little thing.

i actually went on it for about everyday and got like 10 emails at ounce but you lose those because what you guys have changed..i actually loved it but now i go on gaia meez and others 2..becasue yalls website is just wrong and uses people for there money well fellow people dont go on barbie.com because it is just a way for other people to get your money!!

yeah b girls is awesome, now they've finally started updating it with more clothes and furni at a regular basis but i just wanna say one little thing:
they make us pay for the special stuff, we already pay to use the site even as basic. how? well we pay for the internet!! but its best to get the mp3 and i was so angry when i found out on the instructions that it only lasts for A YEAR omg!
yeah the extras r just great i love it its fun expressing urself with different styles.
but one other thing: CHANGE 2 WHAT BGIRLS USED TO BE! they now have a purple palace and fairy outfits, u guyz r LOWERING the age 4 this site! do u see high skool girlz with fairies and pixie dust and disney princess all over their bedrooms and textbooks? i think not! and too much pink mannn make it like be-bratz! i personally dont like pink, some girls HATE pink and prefer black and red!
bgirls is already extra safe. i mean why cant we use dont like? we cant even say some countries! like serbia and croatia, and a whole load of others! i remember very well,
that i cant say ACCESSORIES!! i mean CMON!
i cant say, "im gonna go play some games" without a word getting blocked! this is ridiculous!
but other than these misfortunes, bgirls is pretty good, only things they did very well so far is adding the fab facts and adding back 2 school fashions AND finally a kitchen!

yeah b girls is totally cool but the thing is there should be no VIP SYSTEM! i hate it really.this is so wrong! BARBIE GIRLS SHOULD be same as it was! no vips these vips degrade us!

i think they should be a separate place for boys AND a separate one for girls, sometimes girls need there own space without boys hanging around and boys need a space without girls hanging around

Barbie rocks almost as much as Sims and the Fashion Fantasy Game! I've been playing with Barbie forever, which totally got me into fashion.
