Sun Inc Releasing Pay-per-Month Second Life Phone Client
Japan is getting another option for Second Life phone clients. Movable Life from 3Di.jp is meant as a Web browser for Second Life, but it was also originally reported as accessible from certain mobile phones. It has fairly limited capabilities, though. Sun Inc. is apparently releasing a much deeper version on December 15 that will run on a FOMA SH903i. A free, potentially ad-supported version would allow users to browse the Second Life map, teleport, search, and walk around in-world. For a monthly fee of 315 Yen (about $3), users can chat, manage inventory, change appearance, shop, and receive a monthly stipend of L$300. It apparently also comes with an apartment in Second Life and something called a 3D blog. [via VintFalken, who also has no idea what a 3D blog would look like]
