Hidden City Gets $15M in Venture Funding

Hidden City Games announced last week in a regulatory finding that it had received $15 million in Series B financing from Trinity Ventures and Rustic Canyon Ventures.  Hidden City might be most famous right now for building a management team out of Wizards of the Coast with experience designing and promoting the Magic the Gathering and Pokemon Collectible Card Games. Now Hidden City is building on its experience and going  virtual with Bella Sara, a collectible card game about horses tied to an online world for girls. Right now the site doesn't have too many virtual world elements, but the developers have said the company is only in phase one of its development. With product localization in over 15 countries and a recent merchandising deal, phase one looks like a pretty solid jumping board into the more immersive virtual world side of things. [via VGVC]
