Playhut Launches GoLive2.Com Kraze for Kids

Playhut, maker of the Playland EZTwist tents and tunnels and Mystikat toys, has launched two virtual worlds for children. Targeted at children aged 6 and up, the worlds, united under the Kraze label, are split by sex. Wowbotz is for boys and Mystikats Kutties is for girls. Accounts are verified with emails to parental addresses and then children can enter the free-to-play worlds,  message with friends, upload video and photo content, and play games to earn currency for Wowbotz armor and Kuttie outfits.

The worlds will tie to real-world themes like Halloween, it seems, to prompt users to focus on real-life peer groups as well as the virtual.

“As a parent, I wanted to create an online world where my children could have the freedom to express their personal style, connect with classmates and make new friends in a safe and fun environment,” stated Brian Zheng, CEO. “By designing a virtual world that celebrates childhood through events like our Halloween party, yet protects children from online dangers, GoLive2 accomplishes just that.”

With one world tied to the Mystikats brand already, it can't be too long before Wowbotz hit the shelves.
