Pat Sajak Invests in Numedeon, Plans to Take "Active" Role
Pat Sajak, Emmy Award-winning host of Wheel of Fortune, has made an investment in Numedeon, maker of Whyville, to become a strategic partner and "significant shareholder in the corporation." Introduced to the company by another investor, Sajak is interested in being "active" in Numedeon, according to COO Jay Goss, but it's not clear how that will play out. "As someone deeply involved in traditional broadcast media, I am aware of the challenges and opportunities provided by interactive media,” said Sajak. “I believe that Numedeon, a pioneer in virtual world technology, is strategically placed to transform the way children and adults interact digitally."
Sajak is also involved with PatSajakGames.com, BoJak Records, Sajak Music (a music publishing company), P.A.T. Productions (a television production company in association with Columbia Television), and Sajak Broadcasting. He is partial owner of The Golden Baseball League and Eagle Publishing.
Numedeon announced in September that it would be expanding its virtual worlds portfolio beyond Whyville. Goss says Numedeon plans to work with Sajak both on future projects for Whyville and on additional worlds currently being developed behind the scenes.
"We are very pleased to have such a highly regarded entertainer in the television industry as a significant investor in Numedeon," said Dr. James Bower, Founder and CEO of Numedeon, Inc. "Not only does Mr. Sajak have a world-wide media reputation, and a long standing interest in education, but he is also a sophisticated, experienced, and successful businessman. His strategic involvement in Numedeon will pave the way for several new Numedeon virtual worlds set to launch in the next two quarters."

Congrats Jim and all the rest at Numedeon! This class act company deserves a class act investor such as Pat Sajak. Now if you could only get Vanna as well... Hopefully, the wheel never stops on that nasty Bankrupt slot.
