NFL to Launch Virtual World

A land for each team, mini-games, and customizable avatars: The National Football League is getting its own virtual world.  NFLRush.com already has a news portal, quiz collection, and collection of games, but the NFL has decided to tie it all together into the NFL Rush Zone. Apparently the world will also allow users to "collect Gameballz, meet Rusherz, and check out cartoons in the theater."The cartoony layout makes the football world look a little more like Nicktropolis than I would have expected, but I also wouldn't have predicted that Sunday football as the ideal time for a World of Warcraft-inspired Toyota commercial. No word on when the world will launch. The video teaser (after the jump) just says it's coming soon.
