Law & Order: SVU to Solve Virtual World Crime Tonight
"People do everything in AY: Build houses, gamble, dance, have sex--" "How do avatars have sex?" "We have virtual sex in clubs. Customers pay us money." "One of them had to have Rachel for real." Tonight Law & Order: SVU will tackle the pretend virtual world of AY, which has 5 million users, where a woman's avatar is key to solving her disappearance. Check out the video preview here.
We reported in August that CSI creator Anthony Zuiker, who will be giving a key note at next week's Virtual Worlds Fall Conference and Expo at the San Jose Convention Center, would be sending the cast of CSI: NY into a virtual world to solve a murder. However, he plans on then integrating a Second Life project from the Electric Sheep Company to continue the mystery. The CSI episode, "Down The Rabbit Hole," is scheduled to air October 24.
