Media Machines Gets $9.4M in Series A Funding

Media Machines, Inc., has raised $9.4 million in a round of Series A funding with Mohr Davidow Ventures taking the lead. Media Machines develops Flux Studio 2.1, a free 3D modeling and animation tool for Web and virtual worlds applications. Because it allows for SketchUp importing, it's also compatible with Google Earth, but it also allows for Google 3D images to be played directly in the browser through the Flux Player 2.1 plugin.
