K2 Network Obtains $16M in Funding Led by Intel

K2 Network, Inc., an online game publisher with two upcoming virtual worlds, secured $16 million in Series B funding with investment led by Intel Capital and participation from the newly involved Greycroft Partners, Khosla Ventures and Novel TMT Ventures as well as returning investors BV Capital and mvp Capital. K2's upcoming, free-to-play virtual world, Sword of the New World, has entered the Open Beta phase, and won the 2006 Best Game Award for its Korean version.

(www.k2network.net), an online game publisher, today announced that the company has closed a $16 million Series B round of venture capital led by Intel Capital, the investment arm of Intel Corporation. The funds will be used to further develop and internationally market and grow its portfolio of personal computer, Free2Play™ multi-player online games.

Intel Capital was joined in this funding by new investors Greycroft Partners, Khosla Ventures and Novel TMT Ventures as well as returning investors BV Capital and mvp Capital. The online gaming industry has grown rapidly in recent years and is forecasted to hit $13 billion by 2011 according to DFC Intelligence. With its plans for international expansion, key portfolio acquisitions and more, K2 Network is poised to be a significant player in that growth

This is completely FALSE.They manage Knight Online truly BAD.They do not care about players.They made it so it's impossible to play without paying and even if a lot of users pay,they decrease the service and gives to users ridicolous explanations.

They NOT give FREE2PLAY at all who is k2 fooling? K2 service is the baddest you can ask for and not changing soon so how can the BBB rating went up? So now K2 get money both of players and get funds for 16m? Out of ur mind?
